I thought it was pretty cheese, well done but still cheese. Where is the logic in having 3 clearly superior robots tear everything up only to merge and become a bomb? That's not cost-efficient at all and what about if the humans for some reason managed to stop one of the robots, what then, no bomb?
Right up the alley of that M Night Jambalaya.

Good grief...
The movie is 4 minutes long with no dialog. Give the thing a break.
We see many fighters flying overhead so I think we can presume there is a much bigger force attacking than just four (yes four...count 'em) robots attacking. Not least because I would think giant robots choosing to attack Montevideo more than a little odd. Nothing against that city but one would think there are a lot of better choices to be had around the world. As such I would think these things are all over the world.
One might suppose any race that can build giant, killer robots could build a nuke perhaps the aliens (or whatever) do not want an irradiated city (or world if they are all over the place). They also want a dead city. Giant robots can certainly bash the city up pretty good but the vast majority of people will get away. One big bomb and it is all over for that city and a majority of the people there. Repeat that worldwide and the aliens could wipe out a significant portion of humanity in short order (most of the world's population lives in urban areas). On that basis not a bad trade.
Anyway, I see it more as a, "Look what I can achieve with practically no money!" On that basis it is amazing what was done on a shoestring budget and presumably nothing more special than a camera and a desktop computer.
3 or 4, matters not, giant robots merging to form a bomb is still cheese anyways you cut it.
